The Mouse a Cookie

<="" p="">
This week  's culinary proverb refers to one of the Netherlands ' beloved beverage: milk.

 Geeft een muis EEN koekje than ever, wil ook een glas HIJ Melk.

 The literal translation is here  'if you give a mouse a cookie, they also want a glass of milk '. It is used to understand that when someone offers something small, it is expected to express more all the time. English proverb expresses the same as the  "If someone offers you the finger, take the whole hand.' Photo © Karin Engelbrecht
